who wave long scarves over their shoulders. The female dancers will
gradually approach the male dancers and then they will dance in unison.

sing & move in rhythmic motion to the beat of drums.

The tarian lilin or candle dance is a graceful and dextrous dance which is
performed by ladies. It depicts the story of a Sumatraun maiden who lost her
engagement ring and searched for the lost ring till the dark hours of the
night with the a candle placed on a plate.
